How can we distinguish between whether the inner voice or feeling we experience is from God or from ourselves? This is a common struggle for young Christians, including new believers, who often question whether it is God speaking to them or their own desires.

Here are a few points that can help us in discerning God's Will.

By remaining rooted in God's Word and aligning ourselves with the truth as long as it is in harmony with the Bible, we can be assured that God's Word is the ultimate truth.

Jesus gives us very clear directions in the scriptures for a lot of situations we will find ourselves in.

As long as it does not contradict God's Word.

To truly know and understand God and His plans for us, it is essential to cultivate a relationship with Him through spending time in prayer and studying His word. The closer we draw to God, the more we will grow and be able to discern His will for our lives.

In order to establish a connection with God, it is essential to believe that He constantly looks out for our well-being and cares for us. By removing any uncertainties about our Lord and Savior, His guidance becomes more evident regarding the path we should take. Through consistent prayer, staying in the word, our discernment becomes more mature.

During this season of our faith, we will experience our own process of trial and error. It is important to observe the signs that lead to error or trials and identify our missteps. Take time to delve into the Scriptures and engage in prayer to reflect on what could have been handled differently. Ultimately, our decisions should not contradict with God's Word.

Before making a decision, it is important to seek God's guidance by praying for wisdom to help you consider the choice and its consequences, as we cannot foresee the outcome.

It is important not to make hasty decisions but to take a moment to pray and seek guidance to discern whether it aligns with our own will or God's will. Avoid acting impulsively and instead wait for the Lord's direction.

Refer to Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

2 Corinthians 10:5  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
